The acceptance by the required number of signatory powers of the United Nations Organization charter ensures the formal establishment of this international authority whose objective is to give essential aid in preserving world peace. But more mutual trust and good will between the world's great powers has yet to be established if this organization is effectively to function and to fulfill the hopes of the human family.
As individual members of this family who are eager to see war and the threat of war forever banished from the earth, you and I have a part to play, much more important than we perhaps realize. Those who understand something of the omnipotency of omnipresent, omniactive Mind and its absolute control over men and nations can contribute to the present need in a measure quite disproportionate to their numbers. The Scriptures point to the ability of ten righteous men to save a whole city. So today a minority of alert, right-minded thinkers can greatly aid in the solution of the perplexing problems confronting the world's leading nations.
It is understandable that the approach to many of the problems confronting the Big Three may not always be the same, though there be unanimity as to the ultimate objective they desire to accomplish. Nations, like individuals, have different backgrounds, different histories, with resulting differences in viewpoint. All this should have proper consideration, and allowance be made therefor. No one nation can properly expect another nation to put its feet in just the same footmarks the first one has taken on the road of progress.
