DAWNING OF THE CHRIST

From the February 1946 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Almost everyone has at some time awakened in the darkness which precedes the dawn. Sometimes the chirping of a little bird is heard, heralding the songs of other birds joyfully announcing the beginning of a new day. The skies lighten, and finally the sun comes slowly into view, spreading its rays in fullest splendor to shine upon all mankind.

While the writer was enjoying these phenomena early one morning the words in the Christian Science Hymnal (No. 64) came to her:

From sense to Soul my pathway lies before me,
From mist and shadow into Truth's clear day;
The dawn of all things real is breaking o'er me,
My heart is singing: I have found the way.
