It is many years since my testimony first appeared in the Christian Science Sentinel. These years have been filled with blessings and with progress in the understanding of this great discovery of the ages, Christian Science. There have been difficult and strenuous experiences, but with them has come an abiding conviction that every struggle, every overcoming, would result in added strength, peace, and happiness. Illness and sadness have been healed, and those who knew me before I became a student of Christian Science comment on my improved health and greater strength.
I am very happy to know that the serenity, happiness, and health which Christian Science has brought to me are for all who are willing to go forward in the light of Truth, and thus make these gifts their own.
Christian Science carried me through the stress and strain of wartime in England, when it seemed almost as if we were in the battle line. I knew through all the raids that just as numbers and notes are governed by a principle and are indestructible, so man's individuality, his real being, is governed by divine Principle, and remains inviolate and eternal amidst the din and disaster of war. Those dear to us were protected and sustained when fighting in the very forefront of battle.
