Through the concept of mother love taught in Christian Science, which our Leader so beautifully lived and exemplified in providing manifold opportunities for the spiritual welfare of her followers, comes the blessed privilege of contributing testimonies of healing at our Wednesday evening meetings and to our periodicals. My heart overflows with gratitude for this revelation of Truth stated by Mrs. Eddy in "Miscellaneous Writings" (p. 151): "God is our Father and our Mother, our Minister and the great Physician: He is man's only real relative on earth and in heaven." I rejoice that this truth is applicable to each and all. It has on many occasions given me strength, courage, wisdom, and the ability to go forward.
My first healing in Christian Science, a very quick and beautiful one, was that of a laceration. Burns have been healed, and headaches and colds that seemed ever with me during the winter months, often occasioning the loss of my voice, have been so completely healed that they now seem never to have been a part of my experience.
When I was quite young in the study of Christian Science, this truth healed me of a distressing difficulty, the name of which I do not know. For several weeks it seemed as though I could not possibly endure another day. With exceeding joy I acknowledge my healing in the words of Mrs. Eddy in the textbook, Science and Health (p. 45): "Glory be to God, and peace to the struggling hearts! Christ hath rolled away the stone from the door of human hope and faith, and through the revelation and demonstration of life in God, hath elevated them to possible at-one-ment with the spiritual idea of man and his divine Principle, Love."
