Resurrection

From the March 1948 issue of The Christian Science Journal

"Why seek for man in matter—
The living in the dead?
He is not here, but risen,"
The angel message said.

Man is the child of Spirit;
His substance, changeless Soul—
Immutable, unfettered,
Diseaseless, sinless, whole.

Man knows no resurrection;
Formed not of mindless clay,
God's never-changing likeness
Reflects Truth's endless day.

The great I AM is present,
And heaven now and here.
Oh, grasp the way in Science
And let the real appear!

Rising above the false sense,
Lay hold upon the true;
This is the resurrection
That maketh all things new.
