"How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation; that saith unto Zion, Thy God reigneth!" (Isa. 52:7.) How beautiful indeed is Christian Science, which teaches that God reigns and is All; therefore the opposite of God, or good, has no power, no might, no place.
I have had many healings: colds, tonsillitis, bronchitis, severe attacks of acute indigestion, sprained ankles, nervous breakdowns, a broken bone, influenza, and other ills have been healed when the truth has been properly applied.
My first healing was outstanding. I had just come out of a sanatorium, supposedly completely healed of a nervous breakdown; but I almost immediately exhausted my strength and had to go to bed again. After five days and nights without any sleep, I began to have nervous convulsions, which caused me to suffer so much that I begged my family to send for a doctor. I had had the best specialists in the country, and my relatives knew that the only thing the doctors could do for me was to give me sedatives; so they recommended that I try Christian Science. I was willing to try anything.
