The blessings which have come to me through Christian Science have been numerous. However, there are two healings I should particularly like to relate.
For several years I had been unable to attend school or to play as other children did, and I was under the constant care of a physician. I had tried every remedy and treatment prescribed by the doctors for tuberculosis when a close friend of the family told us of Christian Science. We were willing to try it and requested treatment from a Christian Science practitioner. I was asked to read the ninety-first Psalm and to look to it for help. Immediately I was released from fear and shortly afterward from the accompanying discordant physical conditions.
Strength and health were gained completely, so that in a few weeks, when the fall term of school opened, I began my work and continued with no interruptions. Since then I have many times proved the truth of the statement in Science and Health by Mrs. Eddy (p. 412): "The power of Christian Science and divine Love is omnipotent. It is indeed adequate to unclasp the hold and to destroy disease, sin, and death."
