NEW CATALOGUE OF WORKS ON CHRISTIAN SCIENCE BY MARY BAKER EDDY

The Trustees under the Will of Mary Baker Eddy are pleased to announce a new, free, paper-bound catalogue of all the published writings of Mrs. Eddy, the Discoverer and Founder of Christian Science. This new catalogue lists all the current editions and prices, and is attractively illustrated. It measures 3¼ x 5¾ inches, fits easily into a small business envelope, and can be mailed first class in the United States for 3 cents. These new catalogues are available at Christian Science Reading Rooms, or may be obtained by writing to Hudson C. Burr, Publishers' Agent, One, Norway Street, Boston 15, Massachusetts, U.S.A.

MEMBERSHIP IN THE MOTHER CHURCH— OPPORTUNITY FOR SPIRITUAL AWAKENING

Our beloved Leader counsels in her sermon "The People's Idea of God" (p. 14), "O Christian Scientist, thou of the church of the new-born; awake to a higher and holier love for God and man."

Membership in The Mother Church affords earnest students of Christian Science the opportunity for imparting to the world this higher and holier love.

Applicants are admitted to membership twice each year by The Christian Science Board of Directors (see Manual, Art. XIII, Sect. 2). To be considered for the next admission, applications accompanied by questionnaires must reach the Clerk of The Mother Church not later than October 4, 1948. The admission date is November 5, 1948. Those wishing to take this step should forward their applications and questionnaires now, rather than wait for the closing date. This will give the Clerk time, if it is necessary, in which to communicate with applicants.

NOTICE TO CORRESPONDENTS

Officers of branch churches and individuals who have occasion to correspond with The Christian Science Board of Directors, with the Clerk and the Treasurer of The Mother Church, and with the heads of departments of The Mother Church Offices are requested always to place their addresses on their letters and to write their signatures plainly. Women are requested to use the title "Miss" or "Mrs." as the fact may be, and to use their Christian names. The time spent in the offices in searching out this information can be better spent in replying to the letters or in keeping necessary records. The co-operation of correspondents is solicited.

TESTIMONIES

Testimonies should be verified by three members of The Mother Church who know of the healing or can vouch for the integrity of the testifier. If the testifier is not acquainted with three members, his affidavit may be sufficient, but in this case he should, if possible, obtain verification from one or two members. The testifier himself should obtain the verifications and submit them with the testimony. Complete addresses of the testifier and his vouchers should always be furnished.
