The Song of God

From the August 1948 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Infinitely pleasant is the voice of God
Beyond the common usage of the word,
Filled with tenderness and power, with wisdom rich,
Tireless, vibrant with the melodies of Truth,
Complete in harmony, and eloquent with Love.

And the song God sings is man, the well-beloved.

Infinitely lovely is this song of God,
More fair than any human imagery,
Its faultless harmonies unhampered by the dissonance
Of mortal thinking, its eternal melodies
Knowing the perfect freedom of the Mind divine.

Beloved child, rejoice! You are the song of God.
