Ever since I can remember, I desired to know the truth of all things. When I was visiting different churches in my search for Truth, my prayer was, "Dear God, if there is a truth beyond this material ceremony, lead me that I may find it."
One day a friend told me that Christian Science was the true Word of God. Some time afterward, when Science was being criticized in a sermon, I decided to investigate this religion for myself. I loved it from the time I first attended services and knew that it was what I had been looking for all my life. While reading "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy, I was so filled with gratitude that I received many instantaneous healings, even though I did not as yet understand this Science.
The blessings which have been mine on this road from sense to Soul include physical, mental, moral, and financial healings. Some were accomplished by my own work and some with the help of a practitioner. I am grateful for a healing of arthritis in my right arm and shoulders. This condition had left me so nearly helpless that I greatly-feared I should not be able to earn my living in the future. The healing was slow. I had to examine my consciousness and clear away all that was unlike good. With the help of a consecrated practitioner, the fear was eliminated. I had to know that I could not be imposed upon nor be the object of injustice; that man as God's creation could not be unjust, unfair, unloving. The proof that God's creation is good and loving was realized in the complete healing of my arm and shoulders.
