"Shew me thy ways, O Lord; teach me thy paths. Lead me in thy truth, and teach me: for thou art the God my salvation; on thee do I wait all the day" (Ps. 25:4, 5). When a medical doctor informed me that he could do no more for my youngest child, who at that time was two years old and was suffering from whooping cough, I immediately turned to a sister who was a student of Christian Science. When I related my experience to her, she informed me with conviction that the child could be healed. I remember that she said, "God is the Mother of that child and God is Life, Truth, and Love." The child was healed, and at the same time he was healed of bed-wetting. Through this experience I was led to learn more about this Science, including the fact that we do not make a demonstration until spiritualization and regeneration have taken place in consciousness.
Since I became a student of Christian Science, besides the many physical healings we have received there have been many other healings, such as the overcoming of false traits of character, social drinking, and smoking. Protection from accidents has been experienced, human relationships have been harmoniously restored, and needed supply has come.
I am extremely grateful that my two children have the privilege of being regular students in the Christian Science Sunday School, and that they are learning to use what they are being taught there. I am increasingly grateful for membership in The Mother Church, also in a branch church, and to have the privilege of serving this church in a small way. For all the consecrated practitioners, who are ever ready to give a helping hand and a healing message, and for all the work done by these practitioners, I am most grateful.
