I did not find Christian Science; it found me. I refused many times the invitation of a friend to attend a Wednesday evening testimony meeting until, through courtesy, I could no longer refuse. That was in January, 1918.
Apparently I was ready for the blessings which followed, for the same week I was instantaneously healed of astigmatism and quinsy. Several times my throat had had to be lanced, and I had been told that my tonsils should be removed. I still have my tonsils, and the healing has been permanent.
In 1910, when Mrs. Eddy passed on, the pastor of the orthodox church of which I was a member preached a sermon against Christian Science and Mrs. Eddy. I must have absorbed some of this prejudice, and it was a stumbling block which has been removed.
