It is with deep gratitude that I testify to the healing power of Christian Science. Several years ago with the help of a loving practitioner I was healed of a foot infection. I was able to continue in business, although it was necessary for me to be on my feet most of the day. The test came one morning when it seemed impossible for me to wear a shoe because of the swollen condition of my foot. However, I went on with the duties at hand, and when the time came for me to go to town, although the swelling had not gone down, I forced the shoe on. I did not have a vestige of pain from then on. By afternoon the swelling was gone and the healing was complete. I have always been grateful for this healing, because through it I realized for myself the truth of our Leader's statement in "Miscellaneous Writings" (p. 277), "No evidence before the material senses can close my eyes to the scientific proof that God, good, is supreme."
I have also been healed of attacks which affected my breathing and for a number of years had made me very fearful. The condition did not yield at once, but finally, when the fear was overcome, the healing followed. It has been permanent. I have had many healings and also proofs of protection.
I thank God for revealing Christian Science to Mary Baker Eddy and for her unselfed love in giving it to the world. I am also grateful for membership in The Mother Church and for all the blessings that have come to me through my study and application of Christian Science.—Boston, Massachusetts.
