With a heart filled with gratitude I wish to express my appreciation for Christian Science. I was seventeen years of age when Christian Science came into our home. My oldest brother was unable to work, due to a nervous breakdown. He had tried many physicians, but they were unable to help him. A friend gave us a Christian Science Sentinel, and upon scanning its pages, I came across a testimony relating a healing of nervous prostration. A practitioner was engaged for my brother, and shortly thereafter a healing ensued.
Before coming into Christian Science, I had sore throat and earache continually. At one time a physician said my tonsils should be removed. However, this was never done. Instead, work was taken up in Christian Science, and the condition was healed. For many years I have been entirely free from both conditions.
I have always been especially grateful for the three years I had in the Christian Science Sunday School, for this experience aided me in obtaining a better understanding of the truth. In our family of four children Christian Science has met our every need. Our oldest son was healed of pneumonia and appendicitis, another son of broken eardrums, and a daughter of whooping cough in ten days. At another time warts disappeared from her feet through work done in Christian Science.
