I have had many healings in the forty years I have been interested in Christian Science. As a very young student of this Science I was deeply impressed to learn that God's healing power is everywhere.
As soon as communication with Germany was restored after the First World War, I got in contact with my brother, whom I had not seen for over thirty years. I received a letter from him telling how happy he was to receive the food packages I had sent him. He said that due to lack of proper foods during the war his wife could no longer retain any kind of food, and although they had employed the best doctors for her, they could not help her, and she was slowly starving to death.
I went to a practitioner and talked to her about it, and she lovingly offered to help, if I would get my brother's and his wife's consent. I wrote them the same day, telling them how I had been healed in a few days through Christian Science of a so-called incurable combination of indigestion, kidney, and liver trouble after the doctors had given me only a year to live. They answered that they would be grateful for help of any kind, and the practitioner was notified and began working for them.
