I have had many healings through the understanding and application of Christian Science, and I am so grateful to Mrs. Eddy for Science and Health and her other writings, which bring us this wonderful Christlight, I realize more each day how inspired she was.
When just beginning the study of Christian Science, about fifteen years ago, we were able to prove this truth through the healing of our little girl, then almost two years of age. She had been ill for three or four days with what I suppose doctors would call pneumonia. I tried to help her, but knew so little of this Science and was so fearful that I finally asked my husband to call a practitioner. She came over and asked me if I was willing to trust God; and she read to me the following words from Science and Health (p. 2): "God is Love. Can we ask Him to be more?" In a short time the child began to breathe normally, and then she quietly went to sleep. When she awoke she was well. I was very grateful for this healing, and I have relied completely on God and Christian Science ever since.
I have had instantaneous healings of burns through repeating "the scientific statement of being" (ibid., p. 468), and also healings of headaches. I am grateful indeed for the unfoldment of good and the light of Truth which came to me through class instruction.
