While I was still attending high school, I was healed of what a doctor diagnosed as tuberculosis in its severest form. This healing was brought about through the work of a loving Christian Science practitioner in a very few treatments. Later this same understanding woman treated me for a fractured foot, and a permanent healing resulted.
I was also healed of abscessed ears. At this time I could not hear a sound with either ear, and both ears ran continually. The healing took place after about three days of faithful study on my part and three absent treatments from a Christian Science practitioner.
With the help of Christian Science the births of our three sons were quick, and I experienced little discomfort, for I felt God's love and presence with me every moment. I kept repeating Mrs. Eddy's statement in Science and Health (p. 113), "There is no pain in Truth, and no truth in pain." The attending physician said the births were so harmonious they hardly seemed to he happening. I knew then as never before that "there is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear" (I John 4:18).
