I am grateful for Christian Science and for the many healings I have had, but the one which I am most grateful for is that of an illness for which I had been taking medicine for seven years. Although I had been attending a Christian Science church for four months, I was still using medicine. One day, while pouring it into a glass, the thought came to me, If God can make you well with the medicine, He can make you well without it. I started to pour the medicine away; then came the suggestion, If you pour this away you will have to pay six dollars for another bottle. I turned back and sat down; but again the thought came to me, If God can make you well with the medicine, He can make you well without it. I threw the medicine away and was instantaneously healed. I have not had a doctor or taken a drop of medicine since that time.
Another healing occurred during a Christian Science lecture. When I went to the lecture I had lameness in my right leg. I did not remember a word the lecturer said, but soon afterward I realized that I had received an instantaneous healing. Also a bone in my knee which had been displaced in an injury thirty years before had gone back into place. For the many healings I have had through Christian Science I am truly grateful.
