Mrs. Eddy tells us in Science and Health (p. 412): "The power of Christian Science and divine Love is omnipotent. It is indeed adequate to unclasp the hold and to destroy disease, sin, and death."
The truth of the above statement has been proved many times in our home. When our elder girl was about nine months of age she awakened from her nap one day with a very high fever. I became quite fearful. My husband telephoned a Christian Science practitioner, and when the conversation, which lasted less than five minutes, was completed, the baby was entirely free.
When our younger girl was a little over a year old she became very ill in the night, manifesting all the symptoms of pneumonia. We called a practitioner for help, and in less than twenty minutes the child fell asleep. In the morning she awakened feeling perfectly normal.
