Our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, writes in the Manual of The Mother Church (Art. VIII, Sect. 24): "Testimony in regard to the healing of the sick is highly important. More than a mere rehearsal of blessings, it scales the pinnacle of praise and illustrates the demonstration of Christ, 'who healeth all thy diseases' (Psalm 103:3)."
I have been interested in Christian Science since 1939 and have been a grateful member of The Mother Church and of a branch church since 1940. As a boy and young man I suffered from bilious headaches in violent form and had been told that the condition was inherited. For many years I had also been a sufferer from constipation, believing that it was necessary to conform to a certain diet and drugs. These ailments soon disappeared when I learned the truth in Christian Science.
I have been healed of injuries to one of my feet sustained in falling from a tree. In spite of the alarming material evidence, the truth declared and clung to was the only remedy used, and the healing was complete in a short time.
