When I began studying Christian Science I was very depressed because of circumstances at home and my inability to find employment. This depression disappeared the first time I attended a Christian Science Sunday School, and I felt regenerated by the calm atmosphere prevailing there. In proportion as I acquired an understanding of the nature of God, and of my true being as a child of God, a new life opened up for me and my family.
I was successful in passing a professional examination without trouble, and a short time afterward I was offered employment. The position was then held by one of my former classmates, and although his connection was not a harmonious one, I did not wish to accept the position because I did not want to be the cause of his dismissal. When I resorted to God's law of adjustment, a satisfactory solution was worked out for all concerned. The job suited me perfectly from every point of view. Christian Science helped me very much in successfully doing the work, and I am most grateful.
During my military service when I was stationed at the hospital of the regiment, there was a period that was a testing time for me. However, I was able to progress spiritually through Christian Science help, and under all circumstances my prayers were answered beyond my expectations.
