Life's Ideal

From the June 1952 issue of The Christian Science Journal

This is my heritage as Life's ideal:
Dauntless dominion under Love's control,
lrradiant manhood stamped with Spirit's seal,
Unfettered freedom in the realm of Soul.

Swifter than light, defying time and space,
My thoughts wing forth, impelled by that great Mind
Creative of a universe, to grace
With strength, and health, and peace, all humankind.

My mental home a stately temple stands.
No taint of earth within its hallowed hall:
The hearth glows warm, the entrance peace commands,
And free its hospitality to all.
