"Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled" (Matt. 5:6). This promise of the great master Christian, Christ Jesus, in his Sermon on the Mount has been fulfilled in large measure in my life.
I did not come into Christian Science for physical healing, although I was greatly in need of it. I was earnestly seeking a provable and practical religion. Since early childhood I had attended an orthodox Sunday School and church. As I grew to womanhood I became unhappy and dissatisfied with the teachings and for several years visited many churches, hoping to find a religion I could embrace.
I was confident that the solution to every problem known to mankind was to be found in God, but my frequent cry was like that of Job (23:3), "Oh that I knew where I might find him!" When Christian Science was presented to me in a time of great despair I knew I had found Him for whom I had been longing.
