Through the understanding and application of Christian Science our family has for many years enjoyed the freedom and blessings which Christian Science offers to mankind; and it is with much gratitude that I wish to testify regarding a few of our experiences.
More than fifty years ago my father's sister was healed of a very serious condition of blood poisoning. She had been given up by the doctors and was not expected to last through another night. Help in Christian Science was asked for, and the following day she walked a mile and a half to visit the practitioner and to show him that she was healed. For many years after that she lived an active and useful life.
Shortly after that experience my grandmother, who was so badly crippled with rheumatism that at certain periods of the year she could scarcely move, was healed through reading the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. A young cousin who had been for a long time wasting away on a spinal carriage asked for help from a Christian Science practitioner. He was completely healed and is now a married man with a family. He was in active service in the armed forces during the war and is now a partner in a small building firm and works out of doors in all kinds of weather.
