THE FATHER'S BUSINESS

From the April 1953 issue of The Christian Science Journal

The English poet Thomas Parnell wrote thus of a certain noble man:

With God he passed the days;
Prayer all his business, all his pleasure praise.

What a terrific impact there would be upon world commerce and trade if prayer were made the basis of all business. How quickly men would find prosperity and joy permeating their activities, instead of failure and apprehension. Integrity, wisdom, and love would characterize all professions, and human relationships would be clothed with unselfish affection and loving interest.
