It is with profound gratitude that I acknowledge the good that has come to me and to others of my family through the study and application of Christian Science. My brothers, sister, and I have been blessed with a mother who early taught us the importance of regular attendance at a Christian Science Sunday School and encouraged us to apply the truths we learned there to our every problem. I shall never forget the consecrated work of the teachers, whose interest in us never waned and whose understanding brought us healing on a number of occasions.
Some of the healings I experienced with their help were those of severe colds, eczema of several years' standing, undesirable traits of character, and grief at the passing of my father. A dear uncle healed me of chronic tonsillitis in one treatment. This disease had recurred each winter, causing me to remain in bed over a week at a time, scarcely able to eat or sleep. From the day of that healing I was never again absent from school because of illness. Recurring earaches disappeared from my experience, and excellent health has been my joyous lot for the past twenty years.
Because my husband is in a branch of the military service, it has been necessary to prove many times that man's true home is in consciousness and is not a limited space frequently unavailable. Consequently, we have never been without a comfortable, lovely dwelling place at a fair rental in any of the various parts of the country where my husband has been stationed, although all of these places have been regarded as difficult housing areas.
