With great joy and gratitude I testify that Christian Science has met my every need, physical, moral, and spiritual, since I took up an earnest study of it more than twelve years ago.
Two outstanding healings come to my thought. The first occurred about four years ago. Our eight-year-old daughter was standing too near a fisherman, and his fishing fly sank into the upper part of her leg. When he tried to extricate it, the fishhook broke off, and part of it, including the barb, was lodged deep in the flesh.
I worked earnestly in Christian Science, but the fishhook remained in the child's leg. Sometimes the broken end of the hook would come to the surface so that we could feel it, but it would again disappear. Since the condition caused our daughter very little discomfort, I gradually forgot about it until a few months later when I read an article in a Christian Science Sentinel which stated that to overlook an error was not to make a demonstration of healing. I realized that that was what I had done about the fishhook.
