Having enjoyed for many years the testimonies in our periodicals and the blessings they bring into our home, I write this with the thought of sharing my blessings with others. Christian Science was first presented to our family many years ago when a very young sister was given only a few months to live by leading doctors, who diagnosed her case as quick tuberculosis. This verdict was given in August. Her healing, which came through Science, was so rapid and complete that she started school in September and never missed a day. This healing took place in 1916 and has been permanent.
Two years later, through the help of a practitioner, another sister was restored to health after medical science could do nothing to cure her of peritonitis with complications. The turning point in this case was the realization of the truth (Hebr. 4:12), "The word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart."
Is it any wonder that I am grateful to Christian Science and to our beloved Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, for her countless hours of toil and sacrifice in giving to the world her textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," which is indeed a key that is unlocking for all who will study it daily the spiritual meaning of the Bible.
