"Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all ye lands. Serve the Lord with gladness" (Ps. 100:1,2). What better way is there to "serve the Lord with gladness" than to express gratitude for the blessings He has bestowed upon us? And He has indeed bestowed many upon me.
My first interest in Christian Science was not for a physical healing, but for something to investigate in my search for Truth. When I was a junior in college I became dissatisfied with the teachings of the orthodox church I was attending at that time; so I began searching other sources for a clearer understanding of God and salvation. After a year of such searching, however, I was more confused than ever before, although I still felt that there must be a reliable answer to my questions somewhere.
It was at this point that a friend of mine told me that she at one time had been just as confused as I was, but had found through the study of Christian Science satisfying answers to all her questions. I immediately started attending a Church of Christ, Scientist, and began the study of the weekly Lesson-Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly. I am now a grateful member of both The Mother Church and a branch church.
