For many years I have found joy and inspiration in reading the testimonies in our periodicals. I am grateful to share with others some of the experiences that have meant so much to me since I first became interested in Christian Science.
The first healing I witnessed is very dear to me, and when problems are difficult to meet I look back on it and receive renewed courage. Several years ago my husband was given the opportunity of transferring to another city. Before deciding whether he would be interested in accepting the new position he visited the city, and our young daughter and I accompanied him.
On the way our five year old daughter became very ill and had to be carried from the train. A sense of fear came over me because I felt that medical science could not heal her in time for us to return home as planned. Due to wartime conditions a stay in a hotel was limited, and we were there with only a small amount of money.
