My gratitude for Christian Science is unbounded...

From the February 1955 issue of The Christian Science Journal

My gratitude for Christian Science is unbounded for revealing God as my Father and my Mother, as well as my provider. My parents passed on when I was at a very early age. Religion meant nothing to me, and I believed that very little mattered except what I could get for myself. I had an atheistic, survival of the fittest attitude.

Then I met a Christian Scientist, whose example of living caused me to become interested in her religion. When I found myself stranded alone and without funds in a large city, I attended a Sunday service at a Church of Christ, Scientist. The next day two positions were offered me. The one I accepted met my immediate needs and soon enabled me to register at a university, something I had greatly desired to do for some time.

From the spiritual uplift I received, I was convinced of the efficacy of Christian Science. I began the daily study of the Lesson Sermons in the Christian Science Quarterly and started attending Sunday School as well as church. Greater supply and many healing followed.
