With humble gratitude for the manifold blessings received through the study of Christian Science, I submit this testimony.
A friend who was not a Christian Scientist asked me if I would care to read a wonderful book that had been given to her. It was called "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. I readily accepted the book, thinking it might contain an answer to my many queries about God. After reading a few pages I realized that here indeed was the pearl of great price, the Comforter that Jesus promised would lead us into all truth. It was not long before the opportunity came to put into practice what I was learning of God and of man in His image and likeness.
One day after I had eaten some fish my body became very much swollen and covered from head to foot with an angry rash. I was alone in the house and far from human aid. At first my fear was very great; then the still small voice of divine direction said, "Read Science and Health." I obeyed the angel message, and in a few minutes I fell asleep. When I awakened about a quarter of an hour later, there was not a vestige of swelling or rash, and the healing was complete.
