Christian Science has brought so many blessings into my life and into our home that I wish to thank God through the means of our periodicals.
Although my human father passed on before I was born, all sense of having been deprived of a father's love was healed when I learned in Christian Science that God is the only Father of all. This realization has meant a great deal to me, for it removed a feeling of incompleteness. Mary Baker Eddy, our beloved Leader, says in the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" (p. 515), "Man is the family name for all ideas,—the sons and daughters of God."
Of all the blessings I have received for many years through Christian Science, I count an understanding of the Bible as one of the greatest. It was unlocked for me through Science and Health. In this textbook Mrs. Eddy states (p. 547): "The Scriptures are very sacred. Our aim must be to have them understood spiritually, for only by this understanding can truth be gained." As a child I attended an orthodox Sunday School and there learned to love the Lord's Prayer, but it was not until I took up the study of Christian Science that I learned to cherish the Bible and make it a daily study.
