It is with humility and gratitude that I submit proof of the efficacy of Christian Science. My first experience with this religion came by way of a physical healing when I was a lad of sixteen. My parents became concerned about the general rundown condition of my health and decided on a physical examination. Our kind family physician declared my trouble to be incipient tuberculosis and sent me to bed for three months.
At that time there were no students of Christian Science in our home, but my mother had a copy of the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mary Baker Eddy. She asked me to read it, and I read this beloved textbook from cover to cover.
Long before the prescribed three months were ended, I knew that I was healed. My weight increased so rapidly and I grew so fast that I outgrew all my clothes. My mother was convinced that I must be healed, but she insisted on another examination by our physician. His examination this time proved to everyone's satisfaction that there was no tuberculosis present. This healing took place twenty-three years ago, and there has never been a recurrence of the disease.
