Progress in Truth

From the December 1957 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Encircling us, Love gently and warmly enfolds,
In mantle of certitude,
With armor invulnerable,
Tempests within the heart are stilled.

Over sharp precipice, above deep rock-rimmed vale,
His might upholds us.
Straight through dark evanescent shade or blinding fog,
Love's light directs us,
Chastens, and penetrates. Lo, now we scale
Victoriously the height
Where home and heaven abide secure in God,
Celestial site!
