During many years it has been my happy privilege to enjoy and to be benefited by the testimonies of healing that have been given in Christian Science churches and also by the testimonies that appear in the writings of Mary Baker Eddy and in the Christian Science periodicals. In deep gratitude, I wish to share some of the fruitage from my study and application of Christian Science.
I did not take up the study of this religion for physical healing, but as my interest grew and mental peace was attained, some of my physical difficulties began to disappear. A member of my family was healed of a paralytic stroke and restored to perfect health. Later he was established in a productive business through the study of Christian Science and with the prayerful support of a practitioner.
I should like to share two healings which have been waymarks to me in my spiritual progress. About twelve years ago I found myself in the throes of what the medical profession would probably have diagnosed as a severe physical breakdown. A Christian Science practitioner revealed to me the cause of my difficulty through this kind admonition: "My dear, it isn't a physical condition that needs healing, but a resentful consciousness that needs regeneration." She lovingly showed me that the way to awaken from resentment was through spiritual, uplifted thinking.
