From the February 1958 issue of The Christian Science Journal

As the time for the Annual Meeting of The Mother Church approaches, Christian Scientists look back over the year just passed with joy and gratitude for the good unfolded and progress made. The branches of The Mother Church have taken interesting forward steps and experienced many proofs of God's guidance and beneficence. An opportunity to share the good tidings with the Field is afforded at the Annual Meeting in accordance with the Manual of The Mother Church by Mary Baker Eddy,Article XIII, Section 1, which provides for the reading of reports, including "general reports from the Field." Letters are welcomed from the churches and societies, telling of their activities and growth, and excerpts are read at the Annual Meeting from as many as the time allotted permits.

In order that ample time may be given to the consideration of the reports sent in from the churches and societies for use at the Annual Meeting, to be held on June 2 this year, it will be helpful to have them in the office of The Christian Science Board of Directors by April 15, and earlier if possible.
