ANNOUNCEMENT

From the February 1960 issue of The Christian Science Journal

The Christian Science Board of Directors announces the election of Mrs. Helen Wood Bauman, C. S. B., of Boston, Massachusetts, as Editor of The Christian Science Journal, the Christian Science Sentinel, and The Herald of Christian Science, effective November 18, 1959.

As an Associate Editor of the periodicals since 1948, Mrs. Bauman is well known to the Field. She became a member of The Mother Church in 1920 and entered the public practice of Christian Science in 1932. Following instruction in the Normal class of the Board of Education, Mrs. Bauman became a teacher of Christian Science in 1946, and in 1958 she was the teacher of the Normal class of that Board.

Mrs. Bauman succeeds Harold Molter, C. S. B., who passed on in Boston, Massachusetts, on November 1 . Mr. Molter faithfully served the Cause of Christian Science as an authorized teacher, as Committee on Publication for Illinois, as a member of The Christian Science Board of Lectureship, as an Associate Editor, and as Editor of the Christian Science periodicals. Fittingly it can be said of him, as our Leader, Mary Baker Eddy, said of another faithful worker in our Cause, "but as the Christian Scientist, the servant of God and man, he still lives, loves, labors" (The First Church of Christ, Scientist, and Miscellany, p. 295).
