THE ASSOCIATION MEETING, A FEAST OF LOVE

From the February 1960 issue of The Christian Science Journal

MEMBERS of Christian Science students' associations assemble once each year in compliance with Article XXVI, Section 6, of the Manual of The Mother Church, written by Mary Baker Eddy. The By-Law includes the statement, "The associations of the pupils of loyal teachers shall convene annually."

Association meetings are an integral part of the Christian Science movement, and the class-taught Scientist who faithfully participates in this vital activity of The Mother Church reaps the blessing of its worthy purpose, namely to promote the spiritual growth of himself and others.

In her Message to The Mother Church for 1900, our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, writes (p. 15): "To-day you have come to Love's feast, and you kneel at its altar. May you have on a wedding garment new and old, and the touch of the hem of this garment heal the sick and the sinner!"
