WE read in Jeremiah (23:24), "Do not I fill heaven and earth? saith the Lord." Because God is All and is divine Mind, He is the only real Mind. Therefore the only real thoughts are those from this divine Mind. They are the only thoughts that reveal our true, Godlike existence and heal our ills. They are the only thoughts we should believe. But how can we tell which thoughts are from divine Mind, God, and which are not?
One way is to see which thoughts return to God. If a thought is from Him, it returns to Him. Mary Baker Eddy points out this fact on page 22 of her book "Miscellaneous Writings." There in a paragraph about Christian Science she says, "It shows the impossibility of transmitting human ills, or evil, from one individual to another; that all true thoughts revolve in God's orbits: they come from God and return to Him,— and untruths belong not to His creation, therefore these are null and void."
This coming from and returning to God is figurative, of course, not literal, for God is everywhere. God's thoughts come from Him because He is their source, or creator. Likewise, God's thoughts return to Him in the sense that they relate to Him; He is the subject of every true thought.
