Poems

In the Universe of Mind

From the October 1961 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Dwelling in Mind man needs no ship of space,
For swift as thought can comprehend or far,
Unhindered by beliefs of time or place,
He sees beyond yet undiscovered star.
He moves unbound by calculated force,
Joyous within Love's atmosphere to find
No orbit strange, no outer unknown course.
Divine adventure his, in realm of Mind!

No need to wait on slow discovery's hour;
Ours but to claim dominion now and here:
See operative law of Spirit's power
Reveal new heights, bring Love's fulfillment near.
This is the law the Master lived and taught
By which we too can know all things are wrought.
