For the Annual Meeting of The Mother Church on June 8 members gathered from across the United States and from far corners of the globe. They came from large branch churches in metropolitan cities and from tiny groups, working for recognition as branches in deserts, in forests, or on remote islands. They listened attentively to reports of progress from The Mother Church officers and from the Field. They heard testimonies witnessing to the immediate and constant availability of the healing Christ. With gratitude and love they acknowledged their boundless debt to Mary Baker Eddy, who discovered Christian Science and founded The Mother Church. From the parent tree they drew new strength for their spiritual tasks in the coming year.
