When I recall the waymarks of the years in which I have been a student of Christian Science, it is difficult to find words adequate to express my gratitude for the many blessings I have received through the healing power of Truth as found in the teachings of Christian Science.
After my marriage in 1900, an ailment that had been prevalent in my childhood grew worse. An operation was pronounced as imminent. En route to a clinic in Chicago, I was directed, through a sister-in-law, to visit a Christian Science practitioner. Thus my first healing, that of cancer of the bowels, took place in Chicago in 1904. I then became a devout student of this Science, and it has been my only physician and comfort over the years.
My husband and I were blessed with four darling children. All their so-called childhood diseases were handled swiftly and successfully with Christian Science treatment. During the First World War our whole family was protected immeasurably in the influenza epidemic. In later years I was bothered for days at a time with fainting spells. I studied and prayed as we are taught in Christian Science. The malady vanished from my experience.
