Testimonies of Healing

Every time I think of what I owe to...

From the May 1967 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Every time I think of what I owe to Christian Science, gratitude wells up within me for our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy. All I have—home, family, health, and joy— are directly attributable to her discovering and sharing this dynamic religion.

As a student at a university I had no family, home, or work. The Christian Science college organization at the university became home to me—its members my brothers and sisters. Through prayer in Christian Science I obtained a job on campus which proved ideal because of its adjustability to my class schedules.

It was my privilege to serve on the executive board of this organization and later, during the summer, to read at one service. The lesson was prepared during a stay at the Sanatorium of the Christian Science Benevolent Association on Pacific Coast. Marriage was the chosen subject, as companionship and marriage seem so very important to all attending college. The following January I became engaged to one of the members of the organization, and we were married in September. Thus my home was established with another Christian Scientist; our marriage has been blessed, and we have three fine children.
