For over thirty years Christian Science has been the governing factor in my life, and gratitude for it has always had a paramount place in my thoughts.
Christian Science was presented to my mother at the time that I was a pupil in high school, and after my first introduction to its wonderful truths I regularly attended the Sunday School. The lessons learned there, explained and demonstrated by my teachers, were an inspiration to me. They were at once put into practice in my school activities, where help was much needed.
I had been having difficulty with certain studies, and as a result had a low scholastic standing and great dissatisfaction and unhappiness in my outlook toward my future in school. Christian Science was applied to the problem, and the result was, to those who did not understand, miraculous. I was led to alter some of my courses and to begin each day with the study of the Lesson-Sermon, set forth in the Quarterly. My grades put my name on the honor roll and earned acceptance and membership for me in the school's Honor Society. All of the above came about gradually but steadily.
