Many years ago, when neither medicine nor a mud bath cure had helped, Christian Science healed me of an abdominal inflammation from which I had suffered for an entire year.
Christian Science was brought to me when the condition was at its worst and an operation was recommended. I did not hesitate long but went to a Christian Science practitioner. On the way to her I was very frightened, for I knew nothing about God and had always refused to read the Bible. In my own way I had made myself a dear God who was out in nature and very far from men. How surprised I was, therefore, at everything the practitioner told me of God and man! An entirely new world opened up to me. I heard a language I had never before heard. I went to the practitioner once a week, and she guided me step by step, with much love and patience, to the truths of Christian Science.
