"Remember that thou magnify his work, which men behold" (Job 36:24). Having been helped so very much by the testimonies in the periodicals, I desire to share my experience with the hope that it will help someone.
Over thirteen years ago I was introduced to Christian Science. Our baby had been born three years earlier with a congenital difficulty, hydrocephalus. I had prayed earnestly to God for healing but had placed the infant in the care of a pediatrician. At the age of three months he had been sent by the pediatrician to a large hospital and was in the care of the best specialist obtainable. He had a major operation at this time and several minor ones or adjustments. He was there a month, and although he wasn't well, they sent him home.
After three years of precarious health, visits to the pediatrician, phone calls and house calls, the child lapsed into a coma and was taken to the hospital in our city. Further operations were performed, but these were still in the experimental stages. It was at this time, when things looked very dark, that my prayers were beginning to be answered, for my faith had to be replaced with spiritual understanding.
