In the spirit of this Biblical mandate for growth and expansion, the new Christian Science Church Center was launched following an unpretentious ground-breaking ceremony on the afternoon of August 15, 1968.
Before thrusting a spade into the ground at the construction site adjacent to the existing church buildings, Clayton Bion Craig made this statement on behalf of The Christian Science Board of Directors:
"This gathering marks an important milestone for the Christian Science movement.
