It is ten years since my testimony appeared in the Christian Science Sentinel. I would like to give further proof of God's guidance and care.
The following shows the need for being alert to deny a belief of accident and the blessing which resulted in a quick healing.
As I was serving dinner, a saucepan of boiling water overturned on my leg. I immediately took a towel and covered the leg, saying to my husband and son, "This will be for the glorification of God; nothing has touched the real man." I lay down and sang from memory Mrs. Eddy's hymns. My husband telephoned a Christian Science practitioner for help. Although the leg was blistered from knee to ankle, there was no fear. I read Mrs. Eddy's "An Allegory" beginning on page 323 of Miscellaneous Writings. This healing message uplifted my thought, and I rejoiced as I saw more clearly that my need was to leave the earth weights and to go forward.
