Spirit's Currency a Constant Supply

From the February 1970 issue of The Christian Science Journal

Spirit, God, is not only the substance of man's real being but also the source of his supply. The true currency of Spirit has infinite circulation as spiritual ideas, qualities, and activities. In contrast, material and erroneous beliefs are the currency of mortal, limited thinking, and these are actually counterfeit. Error is bankrupt. It has no credit to offer anyone, no genuine resources to supply anyone. Since God never made limitation and lack, they have no actual substance and no power over man.

We might take, as an example, the currency used in human affairs as a medium of exchange. Counterfeit currency is valueless because it cannot be redeemed. Bonafide currency, representing the integrity, legality, and intelligence that men derive from Spirit, has the resources of the government back of it and the production of the entire country to sustain it.

Mrs. Eddy writes: "God gives you His spiritual ideas, and in turn, they give you daily supplies. Never ask for to-morrow: it is enough that divine Love is an ever-present help; and if you wait, never doubting, you will have all you need every moment. What a glorious inheritance is given to us through the understanding of omnipresent Love!"Miscellaneous Writings, p. 307;
